Back from CLF!

Hello everyone...I am a good few days back from the Country Living Fair in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a great trip with loads of prim eye candy! Photos will be up soon....as soon as we can get through homecoming week at my youngest daughter's high school. Received in the mail today my order for A Primitive Place magazines! Oh my goodness, this issue is even better than the last! What a treat this magazine is right here at Halloween!

Our trip to Stone Mountain for the Country Living Fair gave us cool mornings and warm sun by lunchtime, as well as grand shopping. Prim shopping is like an egg hunt to me. I do believe I found the golden egg with a gorgeous large wooden bowl for my kitchen. Each of us four gals all came home with more than a basketful of treasures. We laughed a lot and enjoyed what prim friends enjoy most....hunting together and sharing in the smile when that special treasure is unearthed!

Best of all, we visited our friends the Spoon Sisters who have opened a brand new shop in Tyrone Georgia. Oh, is that ever a prim spot to shop! Lynne and Tammi are the best and their prim taste is perfect. I have some shots to share from their shop, and if you get that way, GO say hello!

If you love stitching, I am excited to announce some new designs coming from Prims and Propers. Never heard of P & P? Prims and Propers is a new company formed to provide you with exceptional stitching projects for your prim home from historical style samplers to whimsical projects. Fresh in the beginning stages, designs will become available in January 2011. Help us spread the word to launch a new American Dream Business!

More to follow so stay tuned...and please share my blog with your friends.

It was goodies in the mail day!

Missed the Canton, Mississippi Fall Flea and Craft Market this week, could not attend....but a grand friend in Canton mailed me a package; two things I had ordered from her when I knew what was in "the cabin" for the sale. A fantastic old stitched sampler arrived for ME and a 6 hold candle mold for a birthday gift for my antiquing buddy, Rebecka. Just had to share. Yes, took photos, but have to wait for a uploading genius to come home to help me get them on here! Just had to share that my Friday just got even better! Now, where to hang this sampler.......

A Recipe to Rival Pumpkin Pie!

Friday, love Fridays! Here is the delicious recipe I wanted to share with all of you. A pumpkin cheese danish for breakfast or dessert....with a great cup of coffee or a big glass of ice cold milk, this is a real treat! When I make the next one I will take a photo and post it....if I can keep it all in one piece long enough! Enjoy, share with your friends and thanks again for following my blog!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Danish

2 pkgs crescent rolls
2 pkgs 8 oz each cream cheese
1 small can pumpkin
1 cup sugar or splenda
4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg yolk

glaze: 2 cups confectioner's sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup milk

Roll out one package of crescent rolls in the bottom of a glass or pottery 9x13 pan sprayed with Pam. Cream together remaining ingredients. Spread over the crescent roll. Put other crescent roll rolled out on top of cheese mixture. Pinch sides together. Bake 350 degrees for 25 minutes. When you take it out of the oven immediately pour glaze over top. Delicious served warm or room temp.

The Beginning

The time has come for me to join in on the bloggers of all things colonial and primitive. I am so jealous of all the prim bloggers who are already enjoying the foilage color change and much milder temperatures....we are being teased a bit here with the cooler air of fall and colors of the season. Fall is my favorite time of year!

In just a few weeks I am heading north with three grand friends for the Country Living Fair. Between now and then I hope to add some photos and a few other blog messages. Now I will enjoy becoming a follower of many of your blogs and learn a little more about how the process works. I would welcome any and all assitance on that! Keep posted for an outstanding new recipe to enjoy with my favorite fall food item: PUMPKIN! Lastly, thanks for adding me to your favorites to follow, I hope I will earn that kind gesture!

Happy October 13!
